And a bike trailer. Preferably the kind to put a kid in though, not a dog. (No, I'm not wishing for a dog. I just find this picture amusing.) I wish to tote Evan along for rides on the bike path located conveniently close to my house every day, especially those days that it's just too hot to be out walking the stroller.
This weekend we borrowed bikes from our friends and had a lovely family outing. We don't own any bikes, or the fancy kid trailer, for that matter, even though a bike has been on my wish list for, literally, years. Needless to say, this was a first for Evan. You'd have thought the kid was at an amusement park! We could hardly get him in the trailer, he was shaking his arms and kicking his legs so much, he was that excited. As soon we took off, it was a constant, "Woah, woah! Woah, woah, woah!!" It was awesome. We hadn't even gotten out of the parking lot yet. We made it over to the bike path, and for approximately the next 4 1/2 miles, Evan was squealing with glee. I loved spending a Saturday afternoon with my two guys, enjoying the outdoors, and so carefree. Not to mention listening to Evan's giggles and his take on all that he was seeing in the desert. Now, I just have to figure out how to convince Nate how much we NEED all of these things on my wish list. Hey, it's cheaper than Disneyland, right? Oh, and while you're at it, husband, I really wouldn't mind this either:
It doesn't even have to be this one. I'm not picky. Just not the ones we have. But preferably one with a chaise.
