FORE!

When playing golf, and someone yells "FORE!", in my head that means, "Watch out! Something is coming!" According to wikipedia, the term means "look ahead", and it is believed to come from the military "beware before", which was shouted when a battery fired behind friendly troops. Either way, my sweetheart and I have been married for 4 years today. And I still think he's a sweetheart. We've lived a lot of life in the last 4 years. We both graduated college, survived grad school, road tripped across the country to live on the East Coast, traveled to other countries, became grown ups by getting real jobs (meaning having insurance, and nights and weekends off), said final goodbyes to loving grandma's, started our own family traditions, moved to the West Coast, and brought a beautiful bouncing baby boy into our lives, just to name a few. It's been a good 4 years. Eventful, trying, exciting, and pretty much wonderful. Whether this anniversary comes as a warning for the upcoming year, "Watch out! Something is coming!" or it is simply just here to remind us to "Look ahead", I am happy for anniversaries so I can celebrate everything  that is US.
