My child loves Wheel of Fortune (can you blame him?). He has since he was just a wee babe. I don't know if it was the bright colors on the wheel that would suck him in, or the fact that he was probably pretty familiar with Pat Sajak's voice, seeing as how I watch a lot of Wheel, and I'm sure he heard it in the womb. These days, it has become more than a color fascination. Evan is starting to yell letters at the screen. It is awesome! He usually starts off with "C!" on his own, but then just starts repeating whatever letter the contestant has just said. I can't begin to describe how much I love this. Now, I consider myself a pretty darn good speller. It's always been something that comes very natural for me and I enjoy it. Maybe it was all my Wheel watching back in the day? I'd like to think that years from now, when my son is just as prolific of a speller, people will gather from all around (insert small dose of sarcasm) and ask his beaming mama, "Where did he learn to spell so well? You must have worked so hard." I'm going to proudly tell them Pat Sajak did it.

This is Evan's growth chart from his 15-18 month well-check done a couple of days ago. He is currently 35.5 inches tall. Those numbers really mean nothing, it's the fact that he is well above and beyond the 100th percentile that kills me. Do you think it's possible to literally be "off the charts"? The rate he's going, I'm excited to see if we can hit that milestone some day before these well-checks are through. For those of you keeping track, he is also 26.75 pounds and his head circumference is 19. I know how much you care about these figures.

My baby (sniff, sniff), all 35.5" of him. I really can't even handle how much I adore him.
I also find it pretty fabulous that he likes to go find his dust pan in the kitchen and bring it in to sit on while he plays with toys, reads books, or watches TV. That's probably Wheel of Fortune up there! Don't worry, I bought him an adorable little chair today, so he won't have to sit on the dust pan anymore.

Dustin always "jokes" about how we need to have a son, who becomes a basketball player, to take care of us in our old age. Looks like you guys might actually have a chance!
At our house Wheel is just what you have to wait for to finish before Jeopardy.
I haven't seen Bentley since Christmas, but I'd guess Evan isn't a whole lot smaller than him (and he's five)!
We love Wheel at our house too! Not as much lately (life gets crazy), but Benjamin was a wheel baby too! Very cute!
I love it. You are supposed to introduce your kids to the classic, right?! And I consider WOF a classic indeed ;) So my Evan is pretty tall - considering he is not yet 2 and is wearing 3T clothing, so I can even imagine YOUR Evan. What is he wearing? lol.
I don't think he's still considered a baby if he's 3 feet tall...
Wow, that is hilarious. He has sure grown up alot since I last checked your blog. I didn't realize that Alex and Evan are so close in age, about 1 month different. However, he does weigh about the same as Even but his height is only slightly above averge. His head however, in the 80%. So you got the height but we've got the head. :)
I can't believe all the commenters on this blog (Stacey) are letting Sara get away with thinking she is good speller.
Too funny! Our family game show is TPIR... honeymoon, gallbladder surgery, labor, etc. Glad to know we're not the only ones who have a family tradition with a game show. :)
